Imprint Methods
Here is list of the different imprint methods that we have available to be used on our gloves.
Note: Not all gloves allow all of these methods. See the individual glove page to see which imprint methods are available.
Heat Transfer
A non-toxic wax imprint is transferred to the gloves by heat and pressure. Used on suede leather and fabric. Washable & durable. There must be separation between each color with a heat transfer. Up to three colors. Heat transfer is best used on any type of fabric including suede and leather. It is washable and durable. This imprint method utilizes heat and pressure to transfer a non-toxic wax image onto the fabric. Each color needs to be imprinted separately with a maximum of three colors.
Silkscreen Transfer
A transfer is made using a silkscreen method and applied to the glove by heat and pressure. Stretches, washable & durable. Up to three colors. Used primarily on knit gloves. A silkscreen transfer is similar to stenciling using a cut-out design and applying heat and pressure to transfer the ink through the design onto the fabric. A silkscreen transfer allows the image or logo to stretch as fabric stretches, so it is often used for knit gloves. In addition to being stretchable, it is also washable and durable. There is a three color maximum.
Pad Print
A special pad is applied to the gloves using a non-toxic ink. Choose one color only. Stock colors include yellow, white, red, royal blue, blue, green, brown and black. Many more colors available. A pad print uses an etched plate and a silicone pad to transfer an image onto fabric using non-toxic ink. This print method is a one-color-only process. Many colors are available including yellow, white, red, royal blue, blue, green, brown and black.
4 Color Process Digital Transfer (4CP)
A transfer is made using a special CMYK printer and then applied to the gloves by heat and pressure. Stretches without cracking, washable & durable. A four-color process logo for only one set-up charge! A special CMYK printer is used to make a transfer which gets applied to gloves using heat and pressure. Digital transfers are washable, durable and even able to stretch without cracking. A digital transfer offers the advantage of a four-color process logo for only one set-up charge.
Branded
A design is burned into leather using heat and pressure. No color is added with branding. Used on grain and suede leather only. Also called embossing. Branding (a.k.a. embossing) involves heat and pressure to burn a design into grain and suede leather only. There is no color added with branding.
